Heyyyy guys!

Yeah, it’s the First of September. I’m alone in the office today--my colleague is too busy finishing up a story about the violation of the 4th amendment rights of a sex therapist. Listen to her great podcast HERE.

Yes, I am listening to Donda while writing this because I am right here,  right now. Despite what you think about culture, it's one of the few chances we have to get together, so, why don;t you listen too? Be with me? For once >:(

Let’s check out this month’s word cloud:

THESE ARE ALL EXAMPLES OF INFINITY AND OF THE *NEW DISORDER* THAT WE ARE ALL GETTING SICKER WITH. ALL OUR FRIENDS ARE GETTING SICKER AND SICKER, WE ARE GETTING SICKER OURSELVES, BUT WE WILL LOVE EACH OTHER UNTIL THE LAST PUFF  PUFF PUFF.

PROMISE?

PROMISE WE WILL LOVE EACH OTHER DOWN TO THE LAST DIRTY PUFF.

Let Us start with minions. Why are they part of this equation? I’ve been trying to figure that out for weeks myself. The minions are infinite,  they are a crushing infinity. They manifest into being the overwhelming anonymity of the global proletariat.

Both Ken Daurio and Cinco paul, the screenwriters for Despicable Me, are mormon.

Mormon. Minion. Mona Lisa.

“As a world blissfully unfamiliar with the Minions is turned upside down by their disruptive presence (one fires a rocket launcher at a police cruiser, another topples Queen Elizabeth II from the British throne), viewers are invited to look back wistfully on a time before our own civilisation was forever changed by the advent of the pill-shaped twits. Because although their big-screen vehicle may run at a svelte 91 minutes, you sense it’s just the first stage in the quest for global Minion rule that will eventually be the end of us all.”-The Guardian

This is what I am talking about: minions are eternal, have already existed forever. They are like ‘alters’ but they have previously existed in a different plane. In the film, they arrive in our society in 1968, the cusp of digital art, the very beginning of self-reflexive, self made digital media. Of rapid self-reproduction. They are all the pieces of art ever, that are eternally waiting to be made, conceptualized of, reproduced. When they were released in the film, they really were released into our world forever, for the rest of eternity we will have minions in our world.

We can never take them back.

On August 24th, Ukraine celebrated 30 years of independence. The Ukrainian State is highly conceptual, in some places it exists purely in color. Sometimes the only way to tell what border you are behind are the colors slathered on a schoolyard: blue and yellow, the colors of the minion.

Ukraine exists in the mind, the minion does too.

Yet they are both realer than real.

There is a reason everything universal is yellow, minions, emojis, (). (write back if you know what the third yellow universal symbol is….I can’t seem to figure it out)

MINION YELLOW

Yellow Words, Phrases And Idioms

Examples of how the meaning of yellow colors our language:
  • Yellow-bellied: a cowardly manner
  • Yellow fever: a disease involving high fever and jaundice that is common in the tropics
  • Yellow jack: a flag flown on a vessel to show that it is under quarantine
  • Yellow-dog contract: a contract which denies a person the right to join a worker's union

This month I encourage you to let everything go.

Ride with yourself, the thing you were hesitating to do, do it, winter is coming and we are soon all going to be dead. I’m serious. So do whatever you want. Like really, make good with your minions, flow out, make me proud.

Meet me in the square, feel ok. Let yourself feel ok. Feel loved, go to school, drop out of school, get pregnant, get into it.

If you don't trust God usually, try to trust for the yellow month of September.

Try just for one month believing that there is no such thing as a mistake if your life is in God’s hands.

I love you all so much, from the bottom of my heart.

Remember: life is a leaf so leave it alone!

XOXOXOXOX

~Until next month~
